Licensing (alcohol)

Licensed premises include pubs, clubs, off-licences, restaurants, hotels and late night takeaways. Venues that sell alcohol must promote the following licensing objectives:

• prevention of crime and disorder
• protection of children from harm
• public safety
• prevention of nuisance

If you are experiencing a problem with a licensed premise and need some advice, please get in touch with Ann Brennan by using the contact form on this website or contact Ealing Council’s Licensing Team (Email: licensing@ealing.gov.uk / Telephone: 020 8825 6655).

Any person can make representations or comments to the Council about applications for new licences, variations or reviews. Click here for more information.

MHPRA checks the licensing applications list every two weeks for new applications that may have a negative impact on the local area. See here for details of our activity over the year to July 2016.

On 2 September 2016, the MHPRA submitted comments on the Licensing Act 2003 in response to the House of Lords Select Committee call for evidence.  Read the MHPRA’s submission..
